Reflection has always been a lifeline in my GP career. It affords me the opportunity to sit with my experiences and glean relevant lessons that I wish to take forward.
You cannot control what comes to your consulting room or what you encounter in the day-to-day interactions that shape a GP career, but you can control what you do with it. Staying in the gap between stimulus and reaction is key to developing the reflective mindset.
Reflection can turn a chaotic day into a crystal-clear learning experience that stays with you for a lifetime.
